Canoes is one of Waikiki’s most popular and recognizable surf spots, popular with tourists learning to surf and beginner locals. Find the Duke Kahanamoku Statue and paddle straight out. On any given day you’ll find boat loads of surfers in the water, surf schools, and canoes in the lineup. Believe me, you can’t miss it. The waves here are gentle and perfect for those learning to surf. Be sure to watch out for all the other beginner surfers however as they are the most hazardous obstacles in the lineup.
